Job Summary

Join a dedicated team as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse at a Trauma Level IV Critical Access Hospital in Kremmling, Colorado. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide comprehensive emergency care in a scenic mountain community, approximately two hours west of Denver.

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care from admission through discharge. This includes assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating care for a diverse patient population presenting to the emergency department, ensuring adherence to established clinical pathways and protocols.

This position requires a commitment to patient safety and excellence in a fast-paced environment, with potential for cross-coverage at nearby facilities in Granby and Fraser, CO.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and coordinate patient care for individuals presenting to the Emergency Department.
• Utilize accepted standards and protocols, including Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (or equivalent), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Ensure the achievement of patient outcomes through the effective implementation of clinical pathways.
• Manage patient care from admission to discharge within the Emergency Department setting.

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or equivalent certification.
• Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Critical Access Hospital (CAH) setting.

• Proficiency in emergency patient assessment, triage, and intervention.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient, family, and team interaction.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing patient needs.
• Competence in administering medications and performing emergency procedures.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Licensing Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado or a compact state license with Colorado privileges.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS (or equivalent), and TNCC certifications.
