Job Description

Music professionals apply their expertise in instrumental performance, composition, and music production to evaluate AI-generated music content and create expert training data across musical styles, traditions, and cultures. Key Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated responses for musical accuracy, relevance, and quality.
• Use hands-on professional knowledge and the tools used in daily practice to provide detailed feedback and expert-level training data.
• Help improve AI understanding of music through expertise in performance, composition, or production.

• Master’s degree or higher required, with a DMA strongly preferred.
• Background in composition, jazz performance, guitar performance, commercial music, or instrumental performance, such as saxophone or trumpet.
• Strong instrumental-performance background; performance-focused degrees are preferred over musicology or ethnomusicology.
• Experience with Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Ableton is helpful but not required.
• Strong written communication, close attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment.
• No prior AI experience is required.

• Remote, flexible hourly contract work with an asynchronous schedule and no minimum-hour requirement.
• Contributors typically work about 5 to 20 hours per week while assigned to an active project.
• Project placement depends on current needs, and qualified applicants may be considered for future projects as they become available.

Up to $100/hr (depending on the project).

• F-1 students eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible for projects. Consult your Designated School Official to confirm eligibility.
• If your school requires a CPT course, this work may not meet the school’s requirements.
• STEM OPT is not supported.

• Begin contributing to assigned projects and receiving payment for completed work.
