Overview Summary: Analyst will assist category in buying, strategic sourcing, replenishment, contract, and cost improvements. Supports selection of suppliers, maintains cost accuracy, and procures all materials and services for the organization. Will support a few long term projects and short term/daily projects. Present final recommendations or project results at the end of the semester. Qualifications Education: Pursuing a business degree, undergrad junior or senior or MBA student. Pursuing Master’s Degree preferred. Experience: Familiar (from college) with acceptable supply chain and buying procedures. Intermediary Excel, Microsoft Office, and system skills. Ability to use Meditech or equivalent buying system. Ability to utilize sound interpersonal skills when interacting with customers. Good communication and analytical skills required. Maintains information confidential (HIPAA). Demonstrates customer service skills. Ability to utilize responsive customer service skills and sense of urgency when interacting and talking to customers. Ability to work cooperatively with peers and other disciplines. Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with peers and other interdisciplinary teams. Minimal supervisions with motivation and self-direction to attain daily and annual tactical and strategic goals. Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles preferred.
