Successful candidate will assist to implement a successful program: practices, games and training sessions; effectively monitor student-athlete academic progress and behavior; liaison between administration, student-athletes, parents and community; foster a positive relationship with the middle school coaching staff and ensure smooth transition for student-athletes as they progress through the school program, and assist in the implementation of the CASD Athletics Strategic Plan by focusing on K-8 cross country programming. Previous playing and/or coaching experience preferred. Applicant should have knowledge of rules, strategy, teaching progressions and fundamentals. Must be available after school, early evening and weekends, and develop an effective supervision plan for student-athletes at all times. Successful candidate will have knowledge of the rules for cross country and the ability to instruct students on strategies.
