Job Description
A skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in Chillicothe is seeking a compassionate, creative, and organized Activity Director to lead our Activities Department. This position is responsible for developing and implementing engaging programs that enhance the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and oversee a comprehensive activities program
Develop meaningful individual and group activities based on resident interests and abilities
Complete required documentation and maintain activity calendars
Coordinate special events, holiday celebrations, and community involvement
Supervise activity staff and volunteers as applicable
Encourage resident and family participation
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Qualifications:
Previous experience in long-term care activities preferred
MEPAP Certification preferred, but not required
Strong organizational and communication skills
Experience with PointClickCare preferred
Compassionate, energetic, and resident-focused
Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays for special events
